Life out of death
by Ruth Barnes

I never cease to marvel
How the bulbs break through each year
And on the shrubs that looked so dead
Faint signs of life appear.
The trees are filled with blossom,
The birds begin to sing,
I feel as if my heart will burst
For winter's gone - IT'S SPRING!

I think of resurrection,
For Easter's coming soon.
It seemed as if all hope was gone
When Christ lay in that tomb.
Yet Easter Sunday morning
He rose triumphantly;
Death was conquered - no more sting -
He lives in VICTORY!
