Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
God has not made it difficult for us to follow Him. But there are choices to be made - and it is oh so easy just to follow the crowd. That way we avoid having to confront the situation - we just go with the flow!
Going along with 'popular' ideas and misconceptions about God and His Word - the Bible, leads us through the wide gate and along the broad way. It seems right because so many others are going that way too. But in Matthew's Gospel, Jesus issues a challenge to us to forsake the wide gate - it leads to destruction and death. He calls us to choose the narrow gate. It is narrow and not many will seem to choose that way. But don't just be a crowd follower - be a God follower.
Choose the narrow gate - choose life!
