It would be foolishness for a soldier to go into battle without making sure he has the necessary defence to protect himself against the attacks of the enemy and the weapons he needs to go on the attack. Make no mistake, as we trust in the Lord in this life, we will be in a battle - and we have three enemies: the world, the flesh and the Devil.

But God does not leave us defenceless or without the means to put all of our enemies to flight. He has fully equipped us for the battles we will face. So let us put on the Whole Armour of God.
