Me:
"Tell me, what do you think of society today and its youngsters?"
You:
"I think some need a good talking to. A few have got out of hand."
Me:
"Do you think that times have changed for the better or for the worse?"
You:
"Most youngsters today haven't experienced too much hardship. They tend to take a lot for granted and
expect us old 'uns to accept it."
Me:
"How do you view the church?"
You:
"Oh, you know how it is. Church is all right for weddings, christenings and funerals, but other than that it's a
waste of time."
Me:
"Do you have any belief in God?
"
You:
"Sometimes I think there must be someone "up there" and at other times I think no, life is what you make of it
yourself."
Me:
"If I were to tell you that you need a Saviour, what would your reaction be?"
You:
"Why do I need a Saviour?"
Me:
"The Bible says you need a Saviour to set you free from sin and its consequences."
You:
"Are you telling me that I'm a sinner?"
Me:
"Well, the Bible does make it clear that we have all sinned and have come short of the glory of God."
You:
"But I haven't done anyone any harm. I've been a good person."
Me:
"Well maybe. But you see, what is good in our own estimation isn't always good in God's. That's why He
wants us to accept Jesus into our lives."
You:
"Why? What can Jesus do for me?"
Me:
"Well actually, He has already done it! When He died on the cross He paid the price for your sin and my sin!
Now He offers us peace, an assurance of sins forgiven and a place for all eternity with Him.
Thanks for your time.
I hope I've given you something to think about!"
