Happiness

Do you seek happiness? Of course, you do.
Are you unhappy about life? Most people are. We all could think of how our life could be better.

Perhaps you are at a stage right now in your life, where things have gone bad? If only somebody could give you some advice and hope for the future. You would be only too pleased to listen.

So, reader, is that your goal?

We set our minds on something which we think will make us happy - a husband, children, a particular job, leisure or hobby - but we refuse to open our eyes to God’s better way.

In fact, there are those who believe so strongly that only this goal they are aiming for can bring happiness, that they reject the Lord Jesus Himself.

But as good as they might be, happiness is not found in marriage or work or a hobby or children in themselves. True happiness is found in being secure in Jesus, and in obedience to Him - in doing His will.

The Psalmist says: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11)

In His presence we can enjoy fellowship with Him and can speak to Him about everything that occupies our thoughts. And all these other things will find their proper places in His plan for our lives.

It's good to share your problems with somebody who understands and cares.
Cast your cares upon the one who really does - JESUS.

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
