The supreme method God used to reveal Himself to us on this planet was to utter a Word that became flesh.

The word that God uttered is the Divine Word which sweeps away all that the vain words uttered by man through philosophy, laws, reason or even theology.

No one in the universe could have ever imagined that God would take a human body and become man in order to redeem men. But seeing is believing.
We would never have believed it unless we had seen it.
The Word had to become flesh. As personal beings we could never have been satisfied with an impersonal revelation.
God knew that.
Before we could identify with Him, He must first identify with us.

Suppose, just suppose, that there were no flesh in the Godhead, no face like my face there - is the Godhead appealing and attractive?
Will the Trinity evoke in my heart a response of loyalty and love? I doubt it.
But when faced with a God who has worn my flesh, measured its frailty and has identified Himself with my deepest needs, then this kind of God can have my heart forever.
Only this kind of God can bring hope and healing to the heart of someone caught up in the midst of some life-shattering event such as a bereavement, a terminal illness or some other tragedy.
