Q
If God is the God of Love, why is there so much suffering in the world? A The Ministry of Transport does not wish road accidents upon people. However, people often disobey the rules of the road, and cause death and suffering as a result of their actions. It is God's desire that none should perish (see 2 Peter Ch3 v9), but Man has brought suffering upon himself through sin, which is rebellion against God's ways. |

Q
If a person has not been Christened, will that person still go to Heaven? A Salvation by faith in Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He paid the full penalty for all sin by His death and resurrection. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that children must be Christened, or that salvation is dependant upon baptism. The repentant thief that died on the cross next to Jesus certainly wasn't baptised yet Jesus said to him - "Today, you shall be with me in paradise." ( Luke Ch23 v43) |

Q
If I do my best, and not hurt anyone, I will go to Heaven......won't I? A The standard for Heaven is perfection. If you can be that good for the whole of your life, then the answer is yes. But the Bible shows that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans Ch3 v23). Therefore, our only hope lies with a loving God who was prepared to send His only Son Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sin. (John Ch3 v16) |

Q
If I were to die tonight and God said to me "Give me one good reason why I should let you into my presence." What could I say?
A
God is Holy and cannot allow any sin in His presence. Therefore the only satisfactory answer that can be given is this: "Father - Jesus died to pay the price for all sin. I have accepted His free gift of salvation. I am forgiven of my sin and therefore can enter your presence." |

Q
What is sin?
A
Sin describes both the attitude and the actions of people that go against God's laws and purposes. People are cut off from God by their sin. All sin, sooner or later must be dealt with. BUT! Jesus has conquered sin! He lived a perfect, sinless life. But on the cross He suffered the punishment for all sin, death itself. Each sinful person (that's you and me!) deserves that punishment. But we can ask forgiveness of our sin and by faith receive the new life Jesus has secured for us. |
