Such amazingly adapted creatures could never have come into existence by a gradual and chance accumalation of mutations in the bodies of certain reptiles. It is just as ridiculous to imagine that birds were once reptiles as it would be to imagine that airplanes could be produced by attaching wings to the side of trucks. Flying birds are obviously designed for flight, and every minute aspect of their physical form and instinct pattern contributes to this marvellous capacity. |
