Religion is centred around mankind's attempt to reach up to God by his own efforts.
It is usually a system of rules and regulations.
It is based on moral standards set by man.
It always results in feelings of unworthiness and leads to bondage.
It never leads us to God - only further away.
It's spiritual leaders are men with no power or authority.
It's rewards come only as the result of our own efforts or 'good works'.

Christianity is founded upon God reaching down in His grace and mercy to fallen man .
It asks nothing of us that God doesn't empower and enable us to do.
It adheres to God's absolute standard - perfection.
It shows us that we are unworthy - but by God's grace leads us into liberty.
It points us to the only Saviour from sin - Jesus Christ.
It leads us back to a loving relationship with our Creator.
Salvation - God's pardon from sin and the gift of eternal life are free and unconditional.

There are many religious systems that call themselves Christian.
Examine them under this simple test and you will be sure to find the truth.

Is Jesus Christ exalted as God and as the only Saviour from Sin?

If the answer is no, you have not found Christianity. You have found religion!
Leave it alone. Turn to Jesus Christ.
Ask Him to forgive your sins and come in to your life as Lord and Saviour and receive from Him the free gift of eternal life.
