Well, Christmas is certainly a time for celebrations!
It's a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Yes, that is the real reason behind the Christmas celebrations. We are celebrating God's love for us.

He loves us so much that He was prepared to let His Son, Jesus, be born into this world.
More than that, He was prepared to let His Son die on the cross.

When Jesus died on the cross he took upon Himself all the sins of the world (the bad things that we all do). Because He has done this we can now be forgiven.
We can come before God and ask for His forgiveness, and receive Jesus as our own personal Saviour.

That means we can know for sure that we have a place reserved for us in heaven.
