The Heart
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. (Matthew 12:35)
Jesus was speaking to the religious men of His day and spoke plainly about their hypocrisy. Outwardly they appeared (or wanted to appear) holy and righteous. But Jesus showed them that whatever is in a man's heart will work it's way out in a man's life.
If a tree is good it will make good fruit - a bad tree, bad fruit. So it is with our lives. We cannot expect to manifest goodness if our hearts do not hold good things.
A heart full of bitterness, strivings, evil intentions and malice will be reflected in how we live our lives.
We need to fill our hearts with peace, love and good intentions. When our hearts are full of all that God offers us by His Holy Spirit then we will manifest His life and will live lives of power and victory and bring honour and glory to His name.

Did you know?
...that heart beats about 100,000 times in one day and about 35 million times in a year. During an average lifetime, the human heart will beat more than 2.5 billion times.
Your body has about 5.6 litres of blood which circulates through the body three times every minute. In one day, the blood travels a total of 19,000 km (12,000 miles) - that's four times the distance across the US from coast to coast.
The heart pumps about 1 million barrels of blood during an average lifetime - that's enough to fill more than 3 super tankers.
