And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
(Genesis 3:15)

God made it clear to satan that victory was always going to be the Lord's.

Although God allowed satan to influence Adam and Eve to the point where they sinned in dissobeying God, the Lord made it clear that His perfect plan for Man's redemption would still be complete. One born of a woman - the eternal Son of God, would suffer - but be victorious.

God's plan was that His Son would die (bruise his heel) but rise victoriously and destroy satan forever (bruise his head).

Praise God for that victory which leaves us the way open to eternal salvation though Jesus Christ!
