The Loins
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth... (Ephesians 6:14)
In the garden of Eden, before sin entered the world, man and woman were naked and unashamed.
But when they sinned by eating of the one tree God had warned them not to, then they became aware of their nakedness and their shame.
They had received and believed the lie which satan had fed them. To cover their shame they wore cloths of animal skins upon their loins.
But we no longer have to live with shame. We can trust Jesus' atoning work on the cross to fully deal with our sin and shame and wear about our loins, a belt.
That belt is the belt of truth. The truth of God's Word. The truth which enables us to stand!

Did you know?
...that the hip bone is a large, flattened, irregularly shaped bone, constricted in the centre and expanded above and below.
It meets its fellow on the opposite side in the middle line in front, and together they form the sides and anterior wall of the pelvic cavity. The hip bone consists of three parts, quite distinct from each other in children, but which become fused together in adults.
