Hearing
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

No amount of religious activity will ever bring us clsoe to God. What is needed is the excercising of faith.

But faith is not something which we can make or produce ourselves - it is the gift of God. We receive the faith of God when, with open heart, we hear the Word of God.

The Bible is God's Word to each one of us. This means that as we come to God's Word, to read it or to hear it, we are allowing God to speak to us through His Word. God speaks and our hearts are stirred as, by faith, we hear Him speak into our circumstances, our difficulties, our heartaches.

God knows our every need and as we listen to Him, He will surely meet that need.

We just need to hear Him speaking to us....by faith.

Did you know?

...that your ear works by converting sound waves into nerve impulses.

The sound waves cause the tympanic membrane (also called the ear drum) to vibrate. These vibrations are passed on by three small bones to another membrane in the cochlea where various sensory cells are stimulated.

The brain senses which cells are being stimulated and 'hears' the original sound.
